MMFX steel offers corrosion resistance similar to stainless
steel (but at a much lower cost) and superior strength and
mechanical properties – most notably superior ductility – over
other high-strength steels. In addition, MMFX steels are low-carbon,
chromium-bearing steels that form a chromium oxide barrier
on the steels surface – the same mechanism which protects
stainless steel. Coupled with a corrosion-resistant microstructure,
MMFX is the cost-effective material of choice when specifying
corrosion-resistant and high-strength reinforcing steels.
